D Hughes Demolition was first established in 1980. A family-run business to serve Greater Manchester and the North West. Over the next three decades we developed our service expertise and built a strong reputation in all aspects of industrial and high rise demolition, facade retention and asbestos removal.
Among our growing client base are many major development companies, local authorities and NHS Trusts including, Manchester United Football Club and the Royal Oldham Hospital. DHD expansion into complex, demanding projects throughout the North East of England and further afield was accompanied by investment and growth in modern plant, technical and manpower resources.
In 2008, D. Hughes Demolition & Excavation was incorporated as a Limited company. Services
Our large fleet of modern demolition plant and equipment includes ultra high reach excavators fitted with steel shearing equipment and concrete pulverising attachments. Ease of positioning and manoeuvrability enable primary and secondary demolition to be carried out on time and with increased cost-effective efficiency.
We undertake full training programmes to ensure strict compliance with regulation safety levels. DHD is committed to full company compliance with statutory Health and Safety regulations. Our duty of care and responsibility means the safety and protection of all personnel on-site and members of the public in proximity are always a priority at every step of the way from planning stage to completion, at any scale.
From the outset of project planning, DHD combines demolition, waste management, recycling and the environment as one integrated process. All waste building materials originating from site preparation, from concrete and timber to insulation, nails, electrical wiring, and rebar is evaluated for recycling.
