Started in 1993 by the current owners Matsdirect was born out of more than 15 years previous experience in the flooring industry, working with cleaning methods and equipment to carpets, rubber, vinyl, resins, surface treatments, floor preparation and laying methods. It was a natural progression to move on into the matting industry to create a company that had the full spectrum of flooring experience.
With all this knowledge we are in a unique position of advising our customers with the benefit of that experience to find solutions to many flooring dilemmas. Over the last 25 years we've built up a huge amount of trust with our floor mats customers, based on integrity and the high quality of our rubber matting products. One of the main areas where that's crucially important is with our electrical safety matting solutions, where purchasing exactly the right rubber flooring product can literally be the difference between life and death.
Is there a more well-used area in your business than your reception? Entrance areas are typically busy and experience high numbers of people coming in and out. This presents a challenge for many of our mat customers as they need a hard wearing entrance door mats solution that both looks great and that still holds up under the pressure of all that traffic.
Coir matting placed as entrance door mats can only be used in the 17mm version for public entranceways. This is to conform to current BS8300 DDA regulations (with approval). Our coir matting entrance door mats are manufactured from a hard working 100% natural coir fibre with a semi flexible solid PVC backing.
