Greens Natural Stone Products are a small, skill-based company (rather than technology-based) of some 30-plus years experience in the Yorkstone industry. Producing Yorkstone material right across the spectrum - from dry walling stone to roofing and paving material, mainly in Yorkstone from our own quarry.
We do use other stones but only indigenous materials and mainly where required for restoration work. We are Yorkstone producers rather than stone merchants and any product supplied by us has been made by us. Riven Yorkstone is cleaved along natural bedding planes in the rock and produces a textured finish.

Services
Our Yorkstone quarry is on the West Yorkshire/East Lancashire border and yields both fissile stone and block stone. Fissile Yorkstone produces riven paving roofing stone and natural bedded wallstone. It is cleaved along the natural bedding plane lines in the rock creating a natural finish. Block Yorkstone has a smooth, fine-grained finish and is perfect for carving and accurate stone cutting.
The traditional riven Yorkstone roofing tiles as seen in cottages, farmhouses and barns throughout the north. Yorkstone roofing tiles come in a range of standard sizes to match the tradional standard roofing tile sizes used for centuries. We also weather roofing stone to try to reflect more closely existing Yorkstone roofs when trying to match shades of stone tiles, as far as possible.
There are times when great care has to be taken in selecting the perfect stone to fit into a sensitive location. Eton College is a typical example. A replacement path had to match in with the colour and character of buildings that are hundreds of years old. The client says, "The slabs look amazing and the colours blend in ever so brilliantly with the existing fabric, everybody is so pleased!"
