Motorquip has been based in Newton Abbot for over 40 years, our family have run it for the last 17 years. Alan has been in the motor trade for over 45 years doing a variety of roles. Having started as an Apprentice at Jaguar Newton Abbot; running his own garage; times as a College Lecturer; After Sales Manager at Nissan Exeter and has run Motorquip for the last 17 years.
Theo, Alan's son has been assisting at Motorquip for the last 7 years, he has electrical engineering qualifications, agricultural machine experience and now runs Motorquip on a full time basis with Alan. Motorquip has changed over the last 17 years, 7 years ago due to not being able to compete with large retailers and online prices we had to close the shop at the front and focus on our workshop.
The situation has now changed due to suppliers focusing on smaller traders and stereos being so complex to fit we are now competitive with our pricing. We have now reopened a shop/showroom next to the workshop which stocks a variety of car stereos and audio equipment, fitting kits, alarms, parking sensors, towbars and much more.

Took a new head unit with Apple Play down to Alan and he had it all configured and working in less than an hour.
