I am so happy with my door. I looked everywhere for a door that I knew suited my period house but I just couldn't find anywhere. Anything I did find pricing was ridiculous. I found English period doors online and I couldn't be happier. The door is solid and has been excellently brought back to its former glory.
Barry has been a pure professional throughout the transaction and is a character that's for sure. You can tell how he enjoys what he does and that shows in his work. Now the only problem is seeing the new doors he's restoring and not being able to find a home for them!

Barry is an absolute fountain of knowledge and a pleasure to deal with. You can tell he has a real passion for preserving beautiful period features and passing them on to people who will appreciate them for many years to come. We are just over the moon with our new front door which has transformed the front of our home. Thank you again Barry!

What a great find. After ages looking for a fantastic door for our new Victorian/Edwardian home I found English Period Doors. Great selection of unrestored and restored doors, there are some real beauties, and we bought one. Office staff and Barrie are easy and delightful to deal with. Answered all my stupid questions with charm and humour. Kept me up to date on the restoration, with pictures and helped me with the delivery; we are at opposite ends of the country. Happily answered the same questions again when I had failed to write down the right paint to use for the top coats and needed reminding

We're delighted with the stained glass door we bought from Barry and his team at English Period Doors. Having seen a couple of doors online we went to the workshop where Barry was able to advise us on sizes and styles, and we bought an art deco door and had a frame made to fit. We're very happy with our beautiful new door and had a great experience buying from Barry - not only is he obviously passionate about what he does, he's a lovely friendly guy who makes a great cup of tea!

Fantastic door, lovely glazed panel and a custom made frame from Barry and his team. We bought directly from the website as we couldn't travel due to the lockdown. Barry was easy to deal with, and prepared and trimmed this lovely period door and arranged the transport for me. We are totally pleased with the door and service we received - will definitely call into the workshop after the lockdown for a cuppa - and find an excuse to buy another door!! Totally recommended, thanks Barry and the team.

Very happy indeed with our new front door. Our Victorian house had been modified with a pvc door set into what should be entrance to the vestibule. Barry and his team spent a morning showing us their door selection until we found the right one. They added width and changed the hanging side. A frame was built and Pip brought the whole lot over and fitted it. Its taken me six months to sort out the brickwork and put a light and ceiling in but its finished and painted for Christmas! Massive improvement.
