I am highly disappointed in our county and the system has failed us. It is unfortunate when homeowners and individuals follow the rules and try to be heard only to be stomped on for more taxes. The hearing process is a joke and the review board won't read your evidence so don't waste your time. They are biased an in favor of the county. We brought over 30-pages of market value evidence, inspection reports, and factual evidence referencing the tax code and how a hurricane damaged house is supposed to be appraised. Our appraisal value is now more than we even purchased the house for less than a year

I've emailed the Appraiser handling my property valuation 7 times and called 4 times over the previous month without receiving a response. I moved my business out of Jefferson County and filed all the appropriate property tax returns. Despite this I received a notice of valuation with the same value as the prior year and today I received a penalty notice for failure to file. Thankfully I sent all of the information certified so hopefully I'll be able to work this out.

This state Organization is real unprofessionell joke. My ex husband Girlfriend of twenty years change my Information without my permission. This was allowed by them. Now at court on paper there is no deed for Information. They change in system at jefferson county appraiser. Older lady Angela is just as abusive ad my ex husband fightinng for my rights
