The Honeywell X-Series of carbon monoxide detectors are the ideal choice of alarms for the home, caravan or boat and the XC70EN can provide up to 7 years maintenance free operation due to its advanced electrochemical cell technology. The batteries are tamper-free as they are sealed inside the alarm preventing access by the user as they do not need replacing for the whole 7 year life of the alarm.
Carbon monoxide is a colourless, odourless, poisonous gas and once inhaled, it starves vital organs of oxygen. When released, it can take just a few minutes to slip in to unconsciousness and never come around.
The Ezsense is a portable gas detector that is simple to use and helps quickly indentify the source of gas leaks. It can be used to check for gas leaks in valves, pipes, fittings, gas storage tanks, home appliances and hot water heaters. The Ezsense utilises a catalytic bead sensor which requires no calibration to individual gases or fuel types which means that you can simply point and click to find leaks quickly.
It is not just your home that is at risk as it is estimated that on average, more than 23,000 people die from fires across the world each year and 230,000 people are injured. Since the introduction of smoke and heat alarms in households in the UK in the mid 1990's deaths from fires have dropped by more than 60%.
The HF500 is hard-wired which ensures that the alarm is always connected to the mains power supply. It also prevents the unit being accidentally unplugged which would stop the alarm from working and could also create a spark that ignites the gas. Integrated alarm relay can operate normally open and normally closed solenoid valves for automatic gas shut off.
