We have been making memorials for over one hundred years. We know that the eponymous Bart Endean set up the company in the 1890's and passed the business on to his children. As time went on it was taken over by an apprentice to the Endeans. Nowadays the business is run by his son and grandson. We have been based on the Whitehouse Farm Centre for 20 years, having previously worked out of our yard in Blyth.
Our years of experience make us passionate about using traditional techniques and materials to make unique memorials. Our preference is to use slates and sandstones sourced from our connections all over the country. This way we can be confident that the materials have been quarried sustainably an carefully. When using imported materials we make sure to use suppliers with a reputation for well cared for workers.

I asked Bart Endean to restore my parents’ headstone, it was really dirty and the writing was faded after 20 years. We went yesterday to visit the grave and couldn’t believe the difference we are so pleased with the results. It looks just as new as when it was first erected. We would highly recommend Bart Endean for any restoration you require.
