Worker ants are the ones most likely to be seen. Males and females are produced at certain times of the year. The so-called flying ants have wings and are common in the summer. The workers, about 2-5mm in length, are black/brown in colour. The females and males are larger in body size and are about 6.5 - 10.00 mm for the female and 3.5 - 4.5 mm for the male.
Adult bed bugs are 4 - 5 mm in length, wingless and uniformly mahogany brown in colour. They have long well-developed walking legs with efficient tarsal claws for clinging on to the host during feeding. Prominent antennae project from the head adjacent to the compound eyes. Because bed bugs are more active at night, infestations occur mainly in the bedroom and lounge areas.
Cockroaches are large winged insects ranging from 12-30mm in length with long antennae. Most people in the UK who have an infestation are likely to have German or Oriental species of cockroach. The Oriental cockroach is dark brown/black and ranges from 17-30mm whilst the more common German cockroach is lighter brown and smaller 12-15mm.
Flies are buzzing two-winged insects that usually invade the house in warmer weather. They come in many different sizes, from tiny little insects to large house flies. Most have a short lifespan of 15 to 25 days. However, they increase quickly in numbers because a single female can lay 100 eggs at once, and they hatch within 24 hours.

I have had an issue with rats for months now, I’ve had 3 different pest control companies out before Diamond Pest Control all telling me different things and none have been able to sort the problem. I contacted diamond pest control and they sent someone out the next day to start the treatment. Elliott arrived on time and called me half hour before to let me know his arrival time. 3 weeks later and I’m rodent free finally. I cannot recommend this company enough, they are both professional and Efficient. Thank you guys.
