We mainly undertake work to older and/or listed properties, which can include anything from general maintenance & repairs, plastering, decorating, plumbing, etc. to outbuildings, extensions, refurbishment and full restoration projects.

Services
Coming from a local family with a history of traditional building, Colin has been undertaking specialist building repairs, restorations, renovations and extensions for over 30 years. Since setting up business as a sole trader in 1978, Colin's business has grown through word of mouth in the local area, and became established as a limited company in 1995.
Our skilled carpenters, headed up by local Craftsman Andy Shervington, are experienced in traditional timber frame construction methods for oak (or chestnut) structures. We can provide in-house off-site fabrication of green oak roof trusses or even complete buildings for assembly on site. Regarding the finish, green oak structures can be left rough, or sanded, or shotblasted.
Our team have the specialist skills and experience required to construct or repair traditional cob walls with a range of different approaches dependent upon what the job requires. Colin provided his services in collaboration with the New Forest Conservation Department to put together a publication advising about cob buildings.
Extensions, Outbuildings and Eco-structures - garden rooms, playrooms, studios, small offices etc, even two storey extensions, can be designed, costed and built to suit your needs, often without requiring full planning permission. By taking advantage of 'permitted development' rules, there is a wide scope for creating extra rooms, either attached or separate from your house.
Our team of skilled bricklayers, headed up by local craftsman Dave Ashby, build to an exceptional standard in flint, brick and stone to match in with existing walls or for unique new builds.
Structural knock-throughs, steelwork, underpinning, reinforcing of existing buildings, as well as structurally problematic new builds and extensions can all be undertaken by our team, structural calculations with all relevant insurances can be provided by our contacts who are the very best in the area.
