John has worked in lawn and garden care for over 30 years, including 12 years with the worlds largest garden care products company. He has travelled throughout the UK and USA developing a network of suppliers to bring the latest and best products and practices to your lawn and garden. Kate is actively involved in both the treatment and administrative side of the business and has been since 2007.
Chris joined us in Autumn 2017, initially helping with cultural projects. He is keen on pursuing outdoor activities and his allotment. We are passionate about lawns, in fact our team have over 50 years lawn care experience treating Nottingham lawns. Greener Gardens lawn care programme will treat your lawn up to five times a year using the latest "state of the art" products, feeding your lawn with the correct nutrition to give a green weed and moss free lawn during the changing seasons.
Customers often say that choosing treatments can be daunting, so we created simple solutions to make maintaining your great lawn as easy as 1,2,3. We call them Starter, Improver, Lover and Connoisseur. Our recommendations don't stop there, we complete a condition report on future visits. These reports enable us to recommend the right ongoing lawn and mechanical treatment packages for your lawn.
At Greener Gardens our petrol driven machine uses vertical blades to cut through dead organic matter and horizontal shoot growth. Where horizontal shoots are cut they re-sprout leading to a denser sward. This is an intensive procedure, we normally complete this treatment at selected times during the Spring and Autumn, when conditions are suitable for the lawn to recover.
Aeration can be completed in different ways, the type which is best for your lawn will depend on different factors including the time of year and soil conditions. The purpose of aeration is to improve soil health allowing water and nutrients to pass into the root zone, which also aids gaseous exchange releasing toxic chemicals.

Greener Gardens have made our lawn one to be admired. Several of our neighbours have raised the subject of our lawn and how good it is. They have particularly said "How do you keep it so green?" We have said "We don't, it's Greener Gardens". Obviously a well named business.

After a few years of constant battling against moss and weeds, we decided to get the experts in - after just two treatments the moss that had completely taken over the front lawn is all gone and I can't spot a single weed in the back lawn. Obviously we still have winter to come, but our experience so far of the treatments and advice provided has been excellent, and the programme is certainly value for money.

Great service that has helped us get a new lawn looking great very quickly. These guys really know their stuff and have helped ensure that (even over this very dry summer) our lawn looks vastly better than most. This is because they aim to encourage healthy root growth and not just a green 'flush'.
When I costed it up, they were cheaper to have round, than for me to buy and treat the lawn myself and I was much happier with their approach to treatment than other companies and franchises I looked into. I was glad I did my research - they haven't disappointed. I couldn't recommend them enough.
