The first and most crucial step in any project is the initial design consultation*. We will meet you to review the existing site / development and discuss your aspirations for your scheme, review planning considerations along with potential construction techniques, architectural styles and your requirements.
SOMERSALL PARK ROAD, CHESTERFIELD When we were appointed to this project in Somersall, Chesterfield our clients had the house up for sale and had been advised by their estate agents that a planning approval for further development to the house may help potential buyers to visualize the potential in the property.
Dunkeld Road in Sheffield Our clients had previously appointed an Architect in Sheffield for their project. They owned a large detached four bedroom house located on the corner of Dunkeld Road and Button Hill. With a large amount of land at their disposal between their home and the neighbouring property their aim was to extend.
Housing Development on Locko Road, Lower Pilsley in Chesterfield Whilst the construction of this new housing development takes place on Locko Road, Chesterfield JCAD as project Architect are regularly involved in onsite meetings with the developer (Poplar Farm Developments Ltd) to review progress. We are always on hand to ensure that the construction process runs.

Jonathan provided an excellent service and had so many ideas to put forward. He took on board all our own ideas and requirements and provided several plans to show how our extension could have been built. Once we had decided which option to take, Jonathan made the whole process so easy and was on hand for any additional questions or adjustments to the plans. Jonathan was so friendly and helpful and always provided a very quick response to any queries raised in the planning permission and building regs submission. I would recommend using JCAD without question and we are very happy with the end result

Jonathan sorted out all our plans and permissions for a kitchen extension my wife and I had planned. Having never used the services of an architect before we were a little apprehensive but after doing some research we finally decided to contact JCAD. As it turned out, a very wise move on our part. Jonathan designed 2 major projects for us; a two storey rear extension with associated alterations to the existing house and a major refurbishment project on former outbuildings to create double garage, stores and accommodation over. More recently he has advised and designed a smaller project which involved the creation of roof lights in an existing single storey extension.

Jonathan designed us a large rear extension for our home. He was very helpful and made useful suggestions for the design. He was very thorough and made sure that we were completely happy with the final design before submitting the planning application. Everything was done promptly and Jonathan was always available if we had any questions. The planning approval and building regs approval were achieved without any problems and we are very happy with our finished extension.

Having deliberated over various different options for extensions or alterations to our property for a number of years we finally decided to do something about it. We contacted JCAD for some advice and to make sure that there was something that we could do to the property that would most importantly work for us but also look right and blend in both with the existing building and with the neighbourhood (some local extensions were eyesores and we didn’t want to fall into that trap).
Jonathan came out and suggested some very interesting ideas which we hadn’t even conceived of and we were impressed

After many months of thinking about extending my property, I approached Jonathan at JCAD to design me some plans for a single storey extension to the rear of my property. Jonathan was very accommodating, especially considering i had limited ideas to exactly what i was after. Jonathan provided several different options to incorporate the current design of the house to flow through to the proposed extension.

Jonathan designed a 3-storey extension for me. I had been thinking of extending the property for some time but had struggled to understand how to extend into the loft without compromise to the existing structure. He understood all of the issues and came up with practical solutions which convinced me to proceed. Jonathan took the project from initial concept through all of the approval stages with the local council and onto completion. Jonathan designed the plans for a single storey front extension and internal revamp for us. From the first meeting he understood what we were looking for and came up with some really good ideas for it. He arranged and saw the whole thing through planning, structural calculations and building control, answering queries from us and anyone else involved in the process. Making the whole thing easy for novices like us.
