Black Mountain Quarries Ltd is a family-owned business based in the heart of the Black Mountains. Our four working quarries provide block stone for building and walling; flagstones for internal flooring and external paving; and split stone for traditional and modern roofing tiles. We also offer bespoke stone for commercial landscaping such as boulders and rockery.

As the thickness is only 15-25mm this gives endless amount of flexibility to all areas, not only to the build but transportation, room on site and no restriction to how many m2 can be covered in a day!
TIER is a natural stone panel system that delivers the impact of genuine stone walling without the need for specialist stonemasons. The stone panelling is available in two ranges: one contemporary and architectural, the other akin to dry stone and random stone walling. Each panel rises in interlocking tiers, with a seamless finish that creates a natural stone appearance in extraordinarily quick time.
Random building stone is cropped from large blocks of sandstone, limestone or granite. It provides a naturally rustic building and walling material that weathers beautifully and is maintenance-free. Random stone is popular with house builders and specifiers for projects of all sizes, from private domestic commissions to large commercial developments.
At Black Mountain Quarries we have created a unique new range of building stone which blends random and coursed blocks together. Our Vintage Building Stone range offers good quality traditional building and walling stone at great value. Available in sandstone and granite, vintage walling stone offers a more traditional feel than coursed stone, and can also be tumbled for a more weathered / antique appearance.

I have used the BMQ Random Sandstone to fill Gabion baskets as few times now. A beautiful stone - lovely colours and we sized for easy use. Estimated coverage on website is accurate. Quick response - especially rare during this covid times - credit to excellent customer service from Rhiannon which has been excellent - keeping me up to date with the deliveries outlook on a small build site needing two large loads. Highly recommend.

Used black mountain quarries while renovating an old stone cottager in somerset over the last 5 years , they have been very helpful and supplied all our stone to match the cottage and window sills , we have recommended them to our neighbors whom have also used them , great service from start to finish , will add a couple of pics when we have finished

Great product and service from Black Mountain Quarries. Black tumbled limestone flagstones look fantastic in the cottage. Ross was friendly and most helpful in working out size combinations. Delivery was exactly as promised, with precision deposit of flagstones in a small space. Personal, professional service and great value for money. First class from beginning to end!
