We are based in Acomb, Hexham, and cover all of the North of England including Newcastle upon Tyne, Carlisle, Durham and the surrounding areas.

If you're looking to replace your old sliding doors or extending your home wooden lift and slide patio doors can be a great alternative. Sliding doors can be made with much larger glass panels compared to French Doors or Bi-folding doors, therefore a great choice to make the most of your view. If you are creating a large glazed area sliding doors are ideal.
We specialise in heritage work including listed buildings, where replacement windows and doors must be similar in style and material to the originals. We manufacture like-for-like products to exceptional standards, and can also provide specifications and drawings for the Conservation Officer at your local council.
We live in a listed head teacher's house and like to ensure that, despite the expense, everything fitted new is authentic and will be sustainable. We have just had made/fitted a new front door by Neil and his team and are very pleased with the quality of every aspect of the work. Our specification was followed perfectly and we were also allowed sneak previews of the door as it was crafted.

Neil and team from Ochiltree replaced all the windows and front door of our house and were excellent from start to finish. From the initial consultation Neil explained all our options and helped us pick the best windows for our house and was very tolerant and understanding of our indecision over style and colours. Neil and the Ochiltree team replaced the windows and doors in our cottage in 2017 and the fact that they look as good now as they did on the day they were installed is testimony to the quality and craftsmanship of Ochiltree bespoke joinery. Our cottage is early 18th century and not straight forward. However, Neil and his team responded to the challenges and provided a friendly, expert service from initial consultation right through to installation. 5 star job, I had a tricky wooden casement bay window to be replaced which was also in a conservation area, I had confidence in Neil as you are dealing with a professional tradesman rather than a salesman so he knew what could be done. The three men that fitted the windows were efficient and worked as a good team.

Ochiltree fitted 3 Accoya casement windows, a tricky arch window/door and a stable door in our 170 year old cottage. The advice, workmanship and attention to detail has been outstanding. From Neil's initial visit to the final fitting by Peter, Neil and Jonathan everything has been extremely professional and thorough. We needn't have worried about a thing.
