My name is Michael 'Mick' to many. Having served my time with a local building and decorating firm in Haddenham it was always my ambition and desire to run my own painting and decorating business. In 1979 when I was just 19 years old I braved it and took the plunge. Fast forward to present day and the business now has a team of 5 6 inc.
We are specialist in decorating and complete refurbishment, we specialise in turning tired, dated properties and individual rooms into modern day living. We will arrange a site visit and help you plan your new project, we will be able to make suggestions, recommendations and come up with ideas to help make the most of you budget.
We are family business that's built its reputation through caring. We pride ourselves on our range of domestic services from entire country mansions through to a small cloakroom. We prepare a full written specification based on the client requirements, we help with inspirational ideas and offer free advice with choosing colour and wallpaper.
Our commercial works include offices, pubs, clubs factories, construction, local authority, hotels, gyms, schools, shops, supermarkets, churches, public buildings etc etc. We fully comply with all health & safety regulations and provide written risk assessments and methods statements. Not only do we offer a full decorating service we are able to undertake a full refurbishment and repair service.
We cover all types of industrial work from factories, car parks warehouses, local authority works. We are fully compliant with all health and safety issues providing client with risk assessment and method statements prior to commencement of work. We provide all our own plant and employ staff that have been trained in both PASMA and IPAF.

This company offer a friendly and reliable service. This is our second time using M Simmonds and, the work carried out was of the very high standard that we were expecting. Our decorator took great pride in his work. He treated our house with the utmost respect, and he was meticulous in the detail of the finishing touches, which was most appreciated.

Very pleased with the service from first contact, the friendly guys that carried out the work (all following CoViD-19 safe procedures at all times) and the finished works - it was lovely coming home each day to find how well they had progressed.
The completed job is great, they asked me to highlight any thing I felt they may have missed for the last day and although there were a couple, they dealt with it all and actually i'm pretty sure they would have dealt with them anyway as they seemed very thorough!
They cleared up after themselves every day and were punctual too.

Major church project of external & internal renovations and redecorations.
The quality of all the work & the overall project management was excellent. They repointed stonework, re-staining external woodwork on the church, repaired cracks in internal plaster, redecoration of the internal walls and ceiling, carried out some wood treatment internally plus some carpentry work. Mick Simmonds was very helpful, flexible, easy and enjoyable to deal with as were all the members of his team. I would strongly recommend them to anyone considering this type of project. They completed the whole project on budget
