At fire work we are professional chimney sweeps, members of and monitored by the Guild of Master Sweeps and HETAS approved Chimney sweeps. We are fully insured and our work is clean and done to a high standard. With chimney sweeps working in Dunfermline, Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow we cover the Highlands and the Central belt. Please call us if you would like to arrange an appointment or to discuss any difficulties you may be having with your appliance or chimney.
Services
At fire work our specialist subject is chimneys, we carry out thousands of chimney sweeps each year and hundreds of chimney inspections. Each member of the team has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and importantly, each sweep has undergone extensive chimney sweep training provided by Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps and HETAS.
After each sweep we issue an insurance approved sweeping certificate. Many insurance companies stipulate that chimneys are swept and certificates issued in order for your insurance to remain valid. You may also require a sweeping certificate in order to maintain a stove, liner or chimney system warranty.
A good solid fuel stove will last for decades if used properly and well maintained. Warped baffles or ill-fitting seals will reduce the efficiency of your appliance. Not only will a serviced stove last longer, but it will burn more efficiently, saving fuel and money. A poorly maintained stove will also increase the risk of harmful fumes escaping into the room.
We are HETAS approved chimney sweeps offering chimney sweeping and chimney surveying services to the city of Perth and wider Perthshire, including Pitlochry, Crieff, Auchterarder and Blairgowrie. Not only are we a HETAS qualified chimney sweep business, but all our sweeps undergo extensive training provided by Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps.
We are chimney sweeps who offer chimney sweeping and chimney surveys in Edinburgh, the surrounding area and Fife. Our chimney sweeps are all HETAS registered and members of the Guild Master Chimney sweeps. Our trained specialty is "Power Sweeping", which is a technique that removes considerably more soot and tar than other methods of chimney sweeping.
