Timothy James Interiors is a residential interior designer based in Richmond, West London. Most of our work tends to be in London or Surrey but we are always open to exciting new projects no matter where they are. The practice is led by Tim Burden - an artist and qualified interior architect/designer with 18 years experience. We offer all the expertise needed to deliver a fully comprehensive interior design package. The projects we undertake range in size up to large family homes. What we do involves much more than just supplying you with gorgeous furnishings.

Tim’s work has put a stunning finish on our house redesign project. He listened carefully to our ideas and followed up with a detailed questionnaire before having an in-person briefing meeting. After that Tim applied his fantastic talent to design each room with great detail and personality, but giving the ensemble great coherence. The best part of the process is the visuals which show you exactly how the final product will look, as well as Tim’s willingness to further adapt based on feedback. While he is very clear about his vision he is so easy-going that the process is exciting and fun.

We had a completely blank canvas to bring to life. With a family of eight that puts entertainment and family time at the top of our list of importance the space needed to be designed to accommodate love, life and craziness! Tim listened and learned about our family before he started designing. He used art that we had collected from our travels around the world to build a colourful, cosy, look that has some wow factor. He listened to our feedback and advised us like a friend. We very much enjoyed working with Tim and hope to use him for projects in the future.

I contracted Tim to project manage the total refurbishment of my flat in a 1930s mansion block.
Much of this occurred when I was overseas.
I am delighted with the end result, Tim really listened to my ideas, came back with his own ideas and suggestions, project managed what was a big job in a way that caused no problems with neighbours.
The transformation has created an elegant, sophisticated but comfortable space and has greatly increased the value of the property.

Timothy James Interiors recently undertook a commission from me to totally refurbish my 4 bedroom duplex apartment at The Richmond Bridge Estate. This is a very high quality and prestigious development.
Tim was briefed and commissioned at the initiation of the project and produced creative concepts in line with the brief. I found the creative concepts to be detailed, understandable and logical. Brilliant interior design service all round. We hired Timothy James to redesign our house in Twickenham and were very pleased with the work they produced for us. The designs were spot on - very stylish - just what we were hoping for. Excellent communication and interpretation of our brief, leading to a fantastic finish throughout the house. We will certainly be using Tim and his team in the future.
