Services
Lumenata Lighting Design is a lighting design consultancy with offices in the North West of England and South Wales. Since 2006, we have been designing lighting schemes for a variety of residential, commercial, industrial and public sector projects throughout the UK and also in mainland Europe. In addition to designing lighting schemes, we also supply the majority of the lights that are on our schemes.
Our brief was to design a lighting scheme for a client who wanted to convert a swimming pool area in their home, that was not used, into a modern kitchen area with a relaxing annexe. In addition, an extension was to be built with guest quarters with en suite facilities. This would give the homeowner a much more spacious kitchen area and a sitting area that is flooded with natural light due to the glass roof that this area used.
Cleverly designed lighting was created by Lumenata Lighting Design to enhance the architectural structure of this modern home. The steel structure was pointed out by the architect as a key feature of the construction and this was highlighted using buried metal halide uplights, which combine low energy and low maintenance for the home owner, while providing a brilliant illumination of the feature with the minimum of fuss.
How do you make a kitchen extension into a fun room when you have young children? You introduce colour changing LED lighting positioned to give the maximum effect. This was the challenge given to Lumenata by an environmentally conscious homeowner who was not prepared to compromise on style. And our solution did not disappoint.
