We are a small business located just outside the village of Yarnfield, near Stone in Staffordshire, and offer a variety of services to restore the beauty into old, damaged or broken pieces of your much loved furniture. In addition, many pieces of inherited furniture which have begun to show their age, can be rejuvenated to their former glory, with our expertise in polishing, wood carving and veneer work.
Max has always had a passion for wood and began his career in woodwork as an apprentice at the age of 16, under the watchful eye of a well known local antique furniture restorer and craftsman, Bernard Jack, as well as Andrew Oliver (marquetry expert) from Princes Risborough in Buckinghamshire.
They both taught him all the vital skills, which consequently led him to setting up his own business in 1975, restoring antique furniture as well as making commissioned pieces.Max, therefore, over the years, has built up a wealth of experience and has continued to develop his business further. Max has carried out work for a variety of private clients and has his work displayed in many country houses.
