Giles Harrison set up G V Harrison Building Contractors Ltd in 2008. Formally in precision engineering, Giles's yearning to be working outside combined with his keen interest in building resulted in a transition into the construction industry. His first step was to overhaul a development property. Following this he was asked to undertake a number of building contracts for private clients, and G V Harrison Building Contractors Ltd was formed.
Over the years Giles and his team have worked on hundreds of different projects - both domestic and commercial - consisting mainly of building extensions, loft conversions, structural alterations and VELUX window installations. Having completed an installer training course with VELUX in 2013 Giles found himself specialising more and more in the installation and maintenance of VELUX products until finally in 2018 he made the decision to focus exclusively on VELUX projects.

Very professional ,had 2 Velux windows fitted in my new build by the developer , after a couple of years we started too experience issues with the functionality windows not locking correctly , build up of moss above the windows etc naturally the developer wasn't interested , The guys from GV Harrision came in and corrected all the fault , corrected the issue with the tiles, refitted the flashing to prevent the ingress of water and realigned the windows as per Velux specifications, attended when they said they would be there , and cleaned up after they had finished , lesson learnt if you want a

Velux Window Replacement To Kitchen Pantile Roof:
We had a new Velux window replaced by Giles and his team. Great communication by email from Claire in the office, prompt visit offered to to provide quote, again great communication by Claire who promptly email me, stating when the window would be in stock, providing various dates the work could be carried out. Giles and his team turned up as promised, completed the job, cleaned up etc, so when I waked in from work, you wouldn't had known they had been. The workmanship (Am I allowed to use this word now? probably NOT, but stuff the 'Woke Brigade

Right from visiting us to quote the work, to completion, the service from Giles was first class.
The workmanship is excellent, the job was carried out quickly and the work area left spotless. The team who completed the job were highly professional, friendly and absolute perfectionists, all three a real credit to the company. We had 2 replacement Velux windows and blinds installed by Giles and his team. An excellent service from start to finish with Claire co-ordinating the order and Nick and the team installing the windows and blinds. They were very neat and tidy with the installation. I would definitely recommend G V Harrison to anyone wanting Velux windows installed.

I had velux's replaced. The service was excellent from start to finish. My roof was the wrong angle so that also had to be corrected at the same time. All the contractors were incredibly polite and friendly and I'd fully recommend them. Absolutely 5 star.

Right from the initial enquiry made with Claire, through the measuring, quoting, and fitting process, G V Harrison Building Contractors made this an easy, painless experience. Giles and his team fitted the replacement Velux windows in the time frame they said. The workmanship looks excellent and we are extremely pleased with the end result. We will certainly be going back to G V Harrison to have the remaining windows replaced at a later date.

G V Harrison installed 2 Velux roof windows at my house. They did an excellent job with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The job was not straightforward but they met every challenge professionally and the end result was just as we hoped. Not only that, they came when they said they would and stayed on the job until it was finished. Highly recommended.

They were great. They arrived bang on time. Completed the job really efficiently and to a high standard. The finish is excellent. They were really friendly and polite, offered helpful advice on a few bits about our roof (we knew it needed some work from the the survey when we purchased it). They cleaned up afterwards and hoovered up with their Henry. Claire also does a great job with the admin is responsive to emails/calls. I would definitively recommend them.
