Services
Polaris Safety Training is a department within Design Electrical that is City & Guilds accredited. Outside of our usual Health & Safety training, we offer certified qualifications in the 18th Edition and Electric Vehicle Charging. Also known as BS 7671:2018, it's an opportunity for all electricians to be up to date with the latest industry standards.
Design Electrical NI are an authorised installer for the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme (EVHS). We help our customers to save hundreds of pounds on the cost of installing electric vehicle chargers! We have teamed up with manufacturers to provide electric car charger stations to homes and businesses in Northern Ireland, the UK and ROI.
As an employer or landlord you are required by HSE to maintain all electrical installations and appliances that are used by your employees or on your premises. Design Electrical NI can cover all of these practicalities for you with a regular electrical maintenance contract. We'll also PAT (Portable Appliance Test) all relevant appliances.
At Design Electrical NI, we take pride in our work and have a team of highly qualified and experienced electricians on hand to help you with your project. We have an impressive portfolio of clients who we have had the pleasure of working with over the years. We understand that each job or project is different and we would be happy to discuss the details of any project with you.
During our cleaning and maintenance service, we carry out a system health check to ensure that your Solar PV system is working to its full potential. Our service is carried out by a qualified installer. If left uncleaned, solar panels will quickly become dusty and grimy, with a build up of bird droppings.

Design Electrical NI were great to deal with. Very swift and made everything straight forward and when we got notification that our car was going to be delivered early Design Electrical NI were happy to do their best to speed up our installation and we have the charger before the car arrived!

Very professional, friendly and courteous. Easy to arrange the install after providing photos to help with the survey and obtain a quote. The electricians arrived on time and carried out a very neat, tidy and professional installation. They were very friendly to talk to and happy to explain what work was being done as well as carrying out the install as per my request (charger location, where the cable was to be routed etc).
The supplied charger was the one I asked for and was recommended (EO Mini Pro 2). It's compact, looks good and performs well.

Design Electrical NI installed an EO electric car charger. Lisa is extremely professional, efficient and courteous. She provided the information required, answered any queries and provided an accurate timeline for each step of the process, keeping me updated at each stage. They immediately started work - and over the two hours or so that they were with me - they explained what they were doing, were friendly, personable and (most importantly) efficient.
What a change from BP Pulse (formerly BP Chargemaster) who were most inefficient and their communications were generally late, much too complicated and ineffective.
It took me three months for them to have my EV Home Charger installed!

Had an EV charger installation carried out by the engineers. Both the contact with the company and installation was quickly and professionally handled. The installation was expertly and tidily performed, and all credit to the engineers for maintaining social distancing policies. A post-installation query was also handled extremely swiftly and professionally by the company, which exceeded all expectations.
