My name is Daniel Nugent and welcome to my website. I am a highly skilled painter and decorator based in Bedford, Bedfordshire serving the town and surrounding villages. I have specialised in all aspects of painting and decorating both interior and exterior as well as domestic and commercial, so if you require wallpapering, feature walls, dustless sanding of floors and walls or just a general wall and woodwork repaint, I have everything covered.
I have an NVQ level III Advanced Craft Qualification in painting and decorating which means that I actually studied the art of painting and decorating, learnt all the tricks of the trade and the finer art that some, 'learnt on the job' competitors did not gain. I achieved a very high standard and went on to actually be asked to teach for a period of time to pass on my knowledge to the next generation of young painters and decorators.

I am CSCS registered by the CITB, Reg No: 00007619 and have fully comprehensive insurance.
All exterior work undertaken including ladder work/ scaffolding/ tower scaffolds/ boom lifts for problem areas. I now offer a dustless sanding system for a cleaner environment in your home. The Mirka system extracts dust while sanding automatically to create less dust and cleaning up. Feature walls include painted feature walls/ papered feature walls and large whole vinyl prints.
Here are some examples of my interior work. As you can see it shows a broad range of environments and requirements, both big or small, clear or full of furniture. You will see a variety of wall and ceiling painting and interior wood painting both in oil or water based, in a variety of finishes. There are also examples of the amount of prep work that goes into achieving the results that keep myself and more importably, my clients happy.
Here are a few examples of my exterior work. Its a varied collection which showcases my versatility with work ranging from complete house render repair and re-painting, door sanding and finishing, window filling and painting, garden out buildings and ornament decoration and decking stripping and re-staining.
Here are some examples of my wallpaper and feature wall work. There is a lot of skill involved in hanging wallpaper, but technique and a well thought out process will ensure that the pattern always matches up and fits onto a wall correctly. I also like to break tradition and will sometimes hang a paper horizontally to achieve a completely individual effect.

Daniel has completed various decorating jobs at our house over the past 10 years, all to a fantastic standard. The latest included redecoration of master bedroom and repairing damage from a water leak in the ceiling. The repair work was perfect and the ceiling looks as it should again. The quality of the paint work is outstanding. Best decorator in Bedford 👍

Daniel has recently completed work in our house, painting the downstairs rooms, hall, landing & stairs including 3rd floor. Dan was highly recommended by friends and we would happily continue that recommendation. Dan was punctual and extremely considerate of the fact that he was often working around us in the house. Daniel is an incredibly skilled, hard working and reliable craftsman. His work is thorough and finished to an extremely high standard and his product knowledge for for each aspect of a job is second to none. He is the only painter and decorator we have considered using since the good fortune of discovering him nearly 5 years ago. He is trustworthy, efficient and an absolute delight to have around while completing a project. My advice would be to take any wait necessary for his services every time - my experience is it will be well worth it in the long run and his time planning is certainly reliable
