Sourcing walling stone in Scotland can be difficult so last year we started using walling stone and whin dust from Barrachander Quarry near Taynuilt, Oban. It took some time to work with but the finished product looks great. To keep with tradition we put a grass top on the wall rather than coping stones which also helped with planning regulations being so close to the road.
We also sell good, fully refurbished and serviced garden machinery such as petrol mowers, rotovators and hedge trimmers. Services
This wall is just over 24 metres in length and to conform with building regulations could only be 105cm tall. Rather than a straight run we put in a curve to make it more appealing. We have never done a turf top on a wall but it made sense given the overall height constraints and again it added to the overall appeal of the wall.
