Tamar Trading Building Supplies is an independent, family-owned and managed firm of builders merchants which has been supplying building materials, timber and landscaping supplies across Devon and Cornwall for more than 60 years. We have three South West branches, located in Holsworthy, Torrington and Bodmin, which each stock over 20,000 product lines, catering for all of your building needs.
We also offer bespoke joinery at our Holsworthy branch and have two inspirational kitchen and bathroom showrooms at our Torrington and Bodmin stores. We opened our first builders merchants branch in Holsworthy at Sawmills Yard in the late 1950s supplying building materials to the construction and agricultural sectors in Torridge and North Devon.

In this role you will be working in our heavyside yard and delivering building material to customers within the local area as required.

Gotta love these guys. Nothing is too much trouble. I'm not a builder or tradesman, but use them when I can. I Recently went in for just a fibre washer and the gent behind the counter couldn't have been more helpful. Even for 53p!!!. Don't worry if your just a member of the public, as they'll still give you a warm welcome and advise you if your not sure of something. Totally recommend.

People inside the Bodmin shop extremely helpful in sorting my order. Men inside the warehouse where I went to collect my order were very rude and unhelpful, very condescending when trying to pick up my order. Got very patronising and blamed me for not following the correct collection procedure considering it was my first time there. Currently renovating my house and was recommended Tamar trading for supplies but wont be using again 👎

Absolutely brilliant, we ordered building supplies, plaster board, timber and they delivered it to us next day, the unused materials where collected free of charge after we had completed our project and credited back same day. I didn’t even know this was possible, their stock selection in their store is great too!
