Firstly dig over or rotavate the soil breaking it down to a fine tilth. Next you need to level the ground by raking high spots into lower spots and vice versa (a broad or grass rake may be used). Then you need to remove all obvious stones and debris. If the ground is fluffy, lightly heel in all over, then rake over complete area again, standing well back to view the ground from a distance to see if there are any undulations.

I ordered 55sqm of turf on Wednesday for Friday morning, it arrived around 10.00 and had been freshly cut earlier that morning. After an hour or so it was all laid and looking great I am very pleased with the overall service and product and I would highly recommend. The only down side is the new turf has put the existing turf to shame.

Having only recently moved into the property, the garden didn't exist. It was full of rubble which had been dumped and unsuitable for animals. The company came in a week earlier than expected. They cleared everything in sight. It took 2 days to clear the rubbish and lay the turf. A real professional job. I am delighted with the result, and so are my dogs. I never expected the garden would be so good. They were all hardworking and I cannot thank them enough for the result. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a transformation of their garden. It certainly worked for me.

Recently had a garden cleared and 125 square metres of turn laid - from the beginning Steve and the team were really responsive and very competitively priced. Had my garden landscaped and turfed by Wirral turf last week it was a pleasure to watch his staff working they were very well mannored and wore uniforms couldn't have been more helpful they gave me so much advice on how to look after my lawn.
