2010 RIBA East Spirit of Ingenuity Award: winner of HOMES; shortlisted for SUSTAINABILITY. The practice focuses on the individual needs of the client, creating tailor made spaces with a close attention to build quality and budgetary constraints. We are inspired by the possibilities of both traditional and modern materials, often using a mixed palette in our designs.
We are conscious of the need to design responsibly and efficiently - considering the impact of our choices on the immediate built environment or natural landscape and also on the global environment. We are especially tuned in to the impact of the building process and the building in use on carbon emissions and will seek to design with the highest efficiencies and long term strategies to minimise fossil fuel consumption.
We design spaces to harness natural light and to blur the boundaries between inside and outside. We apply our design skills to projects from small rooms to whole houses or working environments, seeking low energy solutions in all cases.

Services
Projects vary in size and complexity. Most of the projects that we complete have been supported by a Full Architectural Service as defined by the RIBA Plan of Work (see services list below). The RIBA also publish a useful guide on 'Working with an Architect for your Home'. We will sometimes undertake limited design tasks, site assessment or technical assistance for a lump sum or hourly rate fee.
