We added a contemporary ecological extension to a listed Georgian building, harmonising natural materials and low energy design. We are Transition by Design, a design collective at the junction of architecture, strategic design and social change. Our work is motivated by the belief that collaboration combined with good design can solve complex problems and improve the world we live in.
We're transforming empty and underused space in Oxford into hubs for co-operatives, social enterprise and community organisations. We are Transition by Design, an RIBA chartered and Passivhaus certified architecture and design cooperative based in Oxford. Our team builds homes, neighbourhoods and cities for an ecologically sustainable and convivial future. We specialise in ecological architecture, community engagement, citizen-led and participatory design, action research, meanwhile use, and community-led housing.

I worked with TbD on naming, branding and website for launching a new campaign coalition working on energy democracy issues.
TbD were absolutely outstanding.
