This highly recommended mechanical process punctures the surface and improves the structure of your lawn. There are no immediate visible effects but, just like your annual car service, aeration can prevent potential problems before they occur. Greener lawn: soil compaction is reduced so that moisture can flow freely to the roots where it is needed most.
A mechanical raking process to remove unwanted moss, thatch and waste from the surface of your lawn. Your annual scarification enables air and moisture to permeate down into the soil creating a thicker, greener sward. Lawns which are scarified each year will cope well with heavy usage and stay greener than other gardens during a drought.
Cheshire Lawn Therapy use a range of high quality seed blends including Dwarf Ryegrasses, Bents and Fescues. We select them according to the needs of your lawn whether it be for rapid germination, cold weather conditions or those tricky areas in the shade. Seed germination begins within 2/3 weeks. The soil needs to be above 5 degrees celsius with sufficient moisture - either from rain or your sprinkler.
Improved grass colour can be achieved with any top dressing containing a good fertile soil. This will also help to break down some of the dead thatch layer which naturally builds up in lawns. Once delivered we will apply the bulk top dressing evenly to your lawn using the correct specialised equipment.

My lawn is now green and moss free thanks to the TLC from Steve and co. They always arrive at the appointed time, know what they’re doing and get the job done. Has saved hours of my time as well as space in my garage - now I don’t need to buy all the products or equipment to get it evenly applied. Highly recommended.

Our lawn was in a very bad state this spring due to thatch stopping rain getting through to the grass roots and then a long drought. However, the work done by Steve scarifying and aerating has meant that we have a green lawn for the summer. The work was done quickly and professionally.

I've used a few lawn treatment businesses over the years. Cheshire Lawn Therapy is an excellent choice for creating and maintaining a lush green lawn. They got both my lawns in shape and looking lovely when I moved to Hazel Grove a few years ago and they come once a quarter for seasonal treatments. We use Cheshire Lawn Therapy regularly. We have old overhanging trees. For the first time in 40 years we have a lawn underneath them not bare earth. The lawn subsides from time to time due to clay soil. They have levelled this off and it grows well. Excellent response when the culvert flooded a few years ago

Fantastic service, very reliable. The price of a visit & treatment is less than I can buy the treatment for and I certainly can't apply it as consistently as these guys with their commercial equipment and skill.
They are professionals with many years experience - they know lawns.

I am going to give Jim and Steve 5 stars because of what happened to my lawn in 2019 and the concern they expressed and the care they gave to put things right. In short my rear lawn was scarified to death in an effort to remove moss and thatch. I was in France at the time and my daughter gave me a heads up to prepare myself for a shock. I was duly shocked on my return.
