Cheerful Char is a locally owned business in Winchester, employing domestic cleaners to provide you with a wide range of house cleaning and ironing services within your home. Domestic house cleaning is our speciality, with operations based upon south-central Hampshire, centred on Winchester, Chandlers Ford and Alresford, whilst serving surrounding areas.
We are equipped with a comprehensive cleaning kit comprising all the cleaning products and equipment necessary to complete house cleaning tasks, prioritised to your requirements and expectations. From only J29.95 for a 2 hour visit, you can expect to see the same individual returning on a scheduled basis or, for a one-off visit, a selection from one of our group of competent domestic cleaners.

Services
We only specialise in providing a wide range of domestic cleaning and ironing services and we do not out-source our services to third-parties. We always interview prospective staff in their own homes before considering references followed by supervised and assessed work assignments prior to permanent recruitment.
Regular visits can be arranged (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) or assignments on a temporary / adhoc basis. The minimum booking is normally 2 hours, but the flexibility of our service allows us to complete a number of different tasks that are charged at the same rate eg. This is normally completed in the home, using clients' iron and board.

John delivers an excellent service, best cleaning, and most reliable I have ever had. He has never let us down and goes to considerable length to deliver the regular cleaning job. I consider the negative reviews here very unfair and I'm sure this is a small minority of his customer base. Disgruntled people always resort to revenge on public review sites...

Critical: Professionalism, Quality
We were initially very happy with the service from Carol who did a fantastic job. After Carol left the business the quality of cleaning deteriorated and when we raised concerns, instead of agreeing to improve, the owner cancelled. In addition to poor cleaning, extremely unprofessional response to concerns.

I see the negative reviews on here & I'm a little surprised. I've been using Cheerful Char since my son was born, so nearly 2 years now, and haven't had any problems. My particular cleaner, Carol, is wonderful. When she's out, other cleaners come instead; sometimes it's even the owner. They've always been accommodating of my schedule as well.

Came round to check the house, the day before we had a baby, then promised to ring to arrange a cleaning session. This was important to us as we knew we needed the support after our first child was born. Waited a week. Nothing, called them back, they appolagised, agreed to call us back to get a session booked in. Two weeks later still no call back. We called again. Then they said they were worried about there being a dog in the house.
Would have been so much better to let us know immidiatly, so we could have got someone else in. Perfect timing for xmas.
