Convert-a-Loft is an established, family run business that has built a reputation on traditional values, using modern techniques, to give you a loft conversion that not only offers comfort, but is installed in keeping with the character of your house. We continuously keep abreast of current building regulations and you will find us both friendly and professional in our approach to fulfilling your requirements.
The traditional timber roof is ideal for conversion due to it's reasonably deep pitch and relatively clear spaces between the supporting framework. Initially the modern lower pitched roof with more struts may appear difficult to convert. However, with our surveyor's expert knowledge and unique design system we can demonstrate possible solutions.
You can convert your loft space by the use of either Velux and/or dormer windows dependant on the space you have available. Velux windows lay flush against the pitch of your roof and are a great way of enhancing the use of natural light. Using Velux windows hardly ever requires the need for Planning Permission and can be undertaken on a Building Notice with the local authority.
