Our tree surgeons all have relevant qualifications and experience in climbing techniques and follow industry best practice recommendations in regards of safety and tree care. Listed below are some tree surgery services that we regularly carry out in West and North Norfolk including Castle Acre, Swaffham, Kings Lynn, Fakenham and Dereham.
Matt undertakes on-site chainsaw carvings aswell as having stalls at local fetes, festivals and craft fayres in Norfolk. We can also do chainsaw carving demonstrations at these events. Huge, mature Beech tree removal. As you can see from the small logs placed underneath the stem to make processing easier that it landed exactly where we wanted it to! Huge, mature Beech tree dismantle in Hingham, Norfolk. It unfortunately had Polypore fungi present so had to be safely dismantled. We climbed it and stripped the crown out using rigging and lowering techniques where needed, leaving the stem to be felled by Matt.

We have a huge walnut tree in our garden that was overshadowing our house, making the rooms and garden dark and cold. matt has cut it back and thinned it out and the difference is just amazing. I honestly didn't think anything would help other than cutting it down! no mess was left and he even moved our fairy garden and bug hotel to stop it being crushed :) highly recommended, he knows exactly what hes doing. thank you!

I have recently had the pleasure of having Matt and Kit reduce the crown of my large overgrown Birch tree and I was impressed with their professional approach to the whole service which is grounded in their obvious love of trees. The tree looks fabulous, the shape is as it should be and if if I hadn't seen it before I wouldn't know it had been cut by a third. My garden was left tidy and I was delighted with the service. We have used Green Man Woodlands for 6years now. Our first experience was a very large tree which had fallen with a further tree beside which needed to come down. All our further tree work has been completed by Green Man Woodlands. I would highly recommend there service. The work is of a very higher standard, Matt is very knowledgeable and always gives a very professional service. We have also had an owl carved out of a tree trunk by Matt, this skill is very impressive and looks amazing in our garden. A family run business, excellent communication and is always a pleasure to deal with.

Green Man Woodlands provides an excellent service. Initial and subsequent communications are good. The work is carried out efficiently and with a sensitivity to the nature of the trees and their growth. Matt and his colleagues are knowledgeable and share their knowledge . Once the job is done they tidy up after themselves pretty well to remove and shred even the smallest offcuts..

Had Matthew come round today to cut back our eucalyptus tree.
He’s done a cracking job...near enough anyone can swing a chainsaw but it’s knowing exactly where to cut that makes a huge difference, not only considering the finished look but the future growth too...top job👍

We can't sing Matt and Jo's praises enough. Not only are they reliable and professional, but Matt is really knowledgeable and cares about the work he does which is truly invaluable.
He has taken great care of the trees and bushes in our garden and created some fabulous carvings for us from old conifer stumps that have really brought our garden to life, and the children were able to watch him create them.
We are so lucky to have found both Matt and Jo, and would very highly recommend them both if you are looking for someone to do a good job for you in return for a fair days wage for a great days
