I would recommend the Olton broad yard how ever would avoid this one the older man was very helpfull however the bold fella behind the counter obviously has no people Skills and likes to mumble under his breath and insult people not to mention still behave like a young child and storms around slamming doors very un professional in my view such a shame that a top company has people like this working for them

Folks who work there are great to deal with. No problems, timber has all been great quality so far.

I BOUGHT DECKINGFOR A PROJECT AND ONLY LAID FOR 6 MONTHS STARTING TO SPLIT AND CRACK COMPLAINED AND EVIDENTILY ITS MY FAULT SURELY IT SHOULD LAST A YEAR NEVER AGAIN VERY UNHELPFULL

First visit today as recently moved to the area as a carpenter joiner thought it would be worth checking out, My wife has a proper medical exception to her illness from the NHS for not wearing a mask due to her illness, she has had both her Covid jabs, however she was refused entry by a very rude shop assistant who would not even let her get her certificate out, in the past 12 months of the pandemic, she has not been refused entry nor ben spoken down to by some cocky assistant who told her she would be at risk entering the shop. Needless to say our carpentry business will be taking our orders else

I spoke to a very helpful gentleman first thing this morning to price and order some wood, I then popped to Smith's in oulton broad to be greeted by a young assistant, I explained I had called but he said "not here you didn't " ok I called the other branch, but could I have the wood on my list please, only to be met with utter contempt, being told dont have any of that or that, cant get any today...ok I am not in a rush it's fine and again as if I was a complete pain was informed that he didn't even know when his deliveries would arrive and I should go to the other branch as his racks were all

Ordered decking got promised would be delivered before the end of the Month booked holiday for fitting, I rang the week before my holiday and got told the have no idea when of if anymore is getting delivered Tim Delivery Director? is this a serious title rang to day and he is making deliveries?.
No organisation terrible service never again

When my first delivery was due to arrive the delivery man got lost. He was very rude and arrogant and seemed to imply that it was my fault he was lost. I made a complaint but received no response. When the second half of my order was delivered it was incorrect. Won't be using Smiths again.

Ive ordered many times from smiths and the usual delivery driver (older gentleman) is very pleasant and helpful. On this occasion we had a very un helpful and arrogant chap who only wanted to throw my wood of the lorry and leave. He had already unloaded half my load before we even noticed he'd arrived, no knock to ask where we wanted the product putting. The actual product was of a good standard, just the service that was poor.

Im so disappointed that I have to give this review but the delivery man today was so blunt and rude. I saw through the window that my husbands delivery of decking was being put on the drive / grass. When I opened the door and asked if it could be put in the garage as I was on my own as my husband was off shore. The guy just said, bluntly “ sorry door drop only”. He didn’t even look up so I went inside. When I saw he had finished I went to the door to collect the invoice but he said nothing and just left it under the wood. After he left with the help of my 10 year old grandson we moved it

Bought 3 sheets of ply and asked for it to be cut to my sizes, the guy cutting the ply was extremely busy with a big order but still fitted me in. The cuts were very good and they even loaded it into my car for me.
The 2 members of staff that dealt with me were friendly, polite and helpful. While I was waiting for my wood, several other members of staff asked if I was being dealt with.
A perfect buying experience, shame more companies aren't is good.
