The proposed additional glazed roof to the recent converted loft in Queen's Gate Conservation Area in Kensington aims to improve quality to the internal space reducing the solid ceiling area in favour of the transparent glass. Increasing the internal clear headroom. The brief from the client was to incorporate the unused external side space into the kitchen area in order to create an open kitchen-dining space.

Maximising roof skylight size, rear openings dimension and connect the old dining area with the new. A contemporary rear extension in this Victorian terraced house has replaced the narrow rear kitchen, creating a free flow open plan connecting the front sitting room to the rear living area. Full width opening on the rear provides a smooth transition.

The "1st Elementary School of St. Paul in the Municipality of Neapolis - Sykies" is positioned on the border between the urban and the natural environment of the city and this could not do anything else of guiding the design. The first goal we have set ourselves is to make the building more municipal accessible, either visually and physically more transparent and permeable to the life of the city.
