ADR Locksmith is a local locksmith service based in Lower Clapton, Hackney, covering most of North London, East London and Central London. We provide all the fitting, replacement, repair and servicing options one would expect from a locksmith operation, including emergency call outs, and we hope to provide them in a convenient and helpful manner.
We really do wish to provide a service that is helpful and convenient. We know London has all manner of odd 'arrangements' that persist from a complex history. They often don't fit the received ideas of what a home or a living space should be. Or a storage area, or a workplace or 'access' area. Locks are often considered a modern inconvenience.
An awkward measure required by the untrustworthy times we live in. It is especially easy to view them in this light if you have come to this site to find a remedy to some aspect of their physical failure. But please take some heart from the fact that locks have provided important support in the progress of human civilisation for thousands of years.

Services
If you are unlucky enough to find yourself locked out, and are lucky enough to be in Hackney or the North/East London area, DON'T PANIC. You will not have to find a new home. If it seems the job is more involved and likely to take some time to do, or replacement items will be required, these will be chargeable over and above, but you will be consulted before we proceed.
Locks do wear out eventually. If your's isn't behaving like it used to it could be letting you know it's on its last legs. It has probably had the key put in and turned thousands and thousands of times. Possibly in a manner that showed very little regard for its wellbeing, despite doing its level best to protect much of what you hold dear.
Locks are all different but the sizes tend to be fairly uniform within a few different standards. If an exact replacement is not available it shouldn't be too diificult to get something equivalent. As such, it is usually a fairly straightforward task to replace a lock. It can however sometimes become more complicated if the previous fitment was a little lacklustre in its application.
Upon moving into your new home you should throw a party so all your friends can know where you now live before anything can get broken. You may also get to meet your new neighbours if it's too rowdy so keep it respectful and save that bit for later when you'll probably be able to present a better picture of yourself.
As such, this will be our first point to consider. It is important, if not obvious, that the locks in use should be well fitted and work properly. If it's awkward or difficult to operate there is a good chance that locking it will be neglected at some point. That having been said, it does not mean that all locks are equal.
