Whether you are starting your own garden from scratch or you are the owner of a newly designed garden, there will certainly. A traditional period property with a modern extension creates an interesting garden design challenge. As designers, we want our gardens to respond. If you would like to work with me on your next project, you can speak to me via the following methods:.
The starting point to any garden project is to look at what you've got and how you feel about it. Your garden may be a blank canvas or a garden that you have lived with for many years. In either case, it is vital to firmly establish where we are starting from. Then, and only then, can we look at the process of planning the new garden.

We cannot recommend Matt highly enough. From start to finish he listened to our needs and ideas and came up with a clever and innovative design that we would never have thought of ourselves.
The brief was quite challenging - turning a uninspiring, relatively small and triangular shaped garden into a luxe, urban space. Whilst we aren’t keen gardeners we were keen for the design to include a low maintenance planting scheme that would offer interest and colour without requiring a huge amount of work. Matt understood our brief and came up with a design that exceeded our expectations but kept us

Our experience with matt started very well and we were looking forward to working with him. when it care to the finished drawing he didn't really come up with any great ideas or inspiration and reacted badly to any criticism or if we didnt like and therefore wanted to change any of the design. ultimately refusing to continue working with us.
In the end we paid in excess of £2000 for a drawing of my ideas. we have now had the garden landscaped on a design done by me. the finished project and design is much better than what we paid a lot of money for and didnt even use.
a total waste of money

We had a great discovery session with Matt to understand the space in the garden and how it can work best for us. He helped us think about materials and cost implications to maximise our budget and really took the time to listen and respond to our thoughts and ideas. He left us with a great set of drawings to take forward. Would highly recommend Matt.

We commissioned Matt Nichol to re-design our relatively large garden which although had not been neglected was in need of some va va voom!
The brief was to design a large terraced patio that complemented the recent orangery extension. In addition, borders, fencing and planting schemes were incorporated into the plans.
Over the next few weeks the plans were developed. We were impressed by the level of thought and detail that went into the designs and therefore contracted with Matt Nichol to actually implement the plans.
Our new garden was completed in October 2017. I'm happy to say that the end
