Universal Carpentry & Building Ltd started up in 2007 and it's been an exciting venture ever since. From our small beginnings making pieces of furniture in a cold garage and carpentry jobs for local residents, to taking on multiple commercial carpentry & joinery contracts on large, new build and refurbishment projects.

We work with a variety of high-end materials from native and exotic hard and softwoods to modern veneers, sheet materials and laminates to produce a beautiful, completely individual finished product for you.

When we receive your enquiry, the first thing we look to do is arrange a meeting to discuss requirements, and to measure up in preparation for providing you with a quote. We are doing a self-build and hoped Simon at Universal Carpentry & Building could make the oak porch but, we only had a photograph of what we wanted. Amazingly Simon made it exactly as we wanted, he has such skill and puts so much time and detail into everything he does, would most definitely recommend him.

Simon built a very bespoke kitchen for my house in norwich. Other carpenters did not want to take the job on as it was technicaly challenging. However, Simon and his team did a great job.
I would be happy to share photos with anyone who was thinking of using him. You could even pop around if you are in Norwich.

We have had Universal Carpentry work on several of our projects now and I can honestly say the workmanship is floorless. We recently had Simon fabricate a couple of sets of curved projection screens and over 3mtrs wide they come together withing millimeters. Well priced, innovative and excellent quality.

Simon has completed work on two properties for us. His work ethic is very professional, honest, reliable, polite and skilled. The work carried out was to the very top standard, laying wooden floors, rebuilding staircases, fitting kitchen, and many other smaller fiddly jobs, all of which were superbly done.
