Welcome to our range of metal framed & hardwood infill gate systems. We manufacture wooden double gates, wooden single gates and wooden garage door systems which are guaranteed not to swell or stick. Here at Mere Brow Smithy we manufacture a range of drive gates to suit all types of openings from standard double gates, by fold gates and sliding gates. These double bottom rail gates are particular well suited for small pets and are padlockable and can be fixed to existing post or we can fit metal posts if required.
Our made to measure railings, wall railings and fencing are designed in conjunction to our stylish gate range and clearly show the quality of design and construction our reputation is built on. Mere Brow Smithy will work with your Automation Company or we will give you a reccomended company we trust to provide the upmost reliable installation. Normally the system is operated by pressing a button on a remote transmitter. The transmitter will work over some distance (according to location), usually from inside a vehicle.

Had Merebrow Gates to do my original large yard,front gate and railings in 2013, fantastic job so asked them back to replace my smaller side gates this year. I'm delighted matched perfectly with the original gates. The fitters were great no trouble just got on with the job and checked I was happy with everything. Ordered our gates back in December and we were expecting them in April. We got a few quotes and Mere Brow were very competitive. Pleased to get a call from Tom asking if they come fit them earlier, they were fitted over a two day period as we needed gate posts concreting in. The gates are up now and we are really happy they are metal and wood insert look great. Many thanks to Tom and his team.

Highly recommend Mere Brow Smithy. We love our heavy quality metal gates. They matched the colour to our front door and added in an additional part to the hinge that improves security. Did not know of this feature before. Our cats also prefer their new doorway built into the bottom of the gate. It took them no time to utilise it. 🙂🐱
