Our aim is to provide top quality, technically robust, cost effective environmental and geotechnical data, interpretative reporting and consultancy. We are commercially focused, we have a full appreciation of the impact that time and cost constraints have on whether projects are successful or not. We work with you to deliver successful projects, of any size.
The majority of our Phase 1 reports are prepared for planning, and to enable our clients to progress a change of land use cost effectively and safely. An accurate, thorough Phase 1 Desk Study report helps get your planning application moving. It anticipates problems, speeds your project over the regulatory hurdles and forms the basis of a cost-effective site investigation strategy, if investigation is deemed to be required.
A well designed Phase 2 intrusive ground investigation (aka site investigation) tells you more about the risks posed by a development site or its surroundings, and helps to further define potential in ground risks. It allows you to identify and quantify risks, to refine your sites Conceptual Site Model established at Phase 1, and to help you meet your legal requirement to work and build safely.
Once a site has been sufficiently characterised at Phase 1 and Phase 2 stage, there may be a requirement to undertake site remediation to make contaminated land safe for development. Site remediation will focus on breaking what are termed "Source-Pathway-Receptor" pollutant linkages. Breaking the pollutant linkages successfully through remediation allows any outstanding planning conditions to be discharged, allowing development to proceed.
DBS brings the experience needed to manage risk, liaise with agencies, steer applications through the regulatory process and direct specialist professionals. We aim to save you money and time, helping your project meet legal requirements and stay within budget. We have long experience of dealing with Local Planning Authorities, gathering the documentation and information they require and negotiating to meet challenges before they delay projects.

I work here. They are invested in sorting, and recycling electronics, paper, cardboard, cans, and you name it. Awesome refuse paint capture and can crusher. This place is up and coming. Very good company to work for, as a driver, or a labourer.

DBS has supported the our community shredding and ewaste collection event for the past two years. They have been pleasant to work with and very timely in their drop off and pick up of ewaste recycling bins.
