Lay Electrical are an independent electrical retail and repair business based in Great Shelford, Cambridge. We provide a friendly, reliable, and personal service to all our customers, which may not always be found from the larger electrical suppliers. We offer free delivery and installation with all TVs and white goods to customers in our area.

Once we have delivered and installed your new purchase, we will always take the time to explain how to use it. Established in 1966, we have decades of experience and are ready to help you. We repair most brands of large items such as washing machines, dishwashers, televisions and vacuum cleaners. These everyday items can go wrong very easily, but we can repair them so that you won't need to buy new ones.We also repair some smaller items such as table lamps and kenwood mixers.

Took a television there for repair, they immediately knew what the problem was. They were able to get a replacement part. Repair was much cheaper than replacement.

I had a lamp that needed repairing and they were able to do the job quickly and for a very reasonable price. It was easy to park nearby and the staff were very helpful. They also sell a selection of electrical appliances and even stock a full range of light bulbs.

A great little shop! Like the good ol' times - pleasant and helpful advice - the human touch... the staff are patient and skilled - they give a good service to our community... the shop is quirky too - I like that - interesting stuff to buy and a little parakeet there sometimes to have a natter with too. Nice! :)
