Quay Point Plastering have been undertaking damp proofing throughout the south of England and the channel islands for over 35 years, all our work is covered by a 30 year bonded guarantee, issued by Biokil Crown Ltd (Registration No B6665265)who are one of the largest damp proofing companies in England.
We are also registered hazardous waste carriers meaning we can dispose of all old render and building waste in an environmentally safe manner (Registered number: CB/VN5214BN). We understand exactly what causes rising and penetrating damp, our expertise combined with our products prove we are 100% effective in eradicating all damp issues.
Rising or Penetrating damp can cause secondary damage to the structure of a building, with plaster and mortar liable to crumble as they become contaminated with salts and nutrients which may rise from the soil below. It is imperative that these problems are dealt with early; otherwise it can also cause wet or dry rot in skirting boards and floor timbers.

Dan arrived on time and worked consistently and expertly for 4 days. Once the damp plaster was removed, silicon was injected into the wall to form a new damp course. A welded mesh was then placed behind the new plaster board to make an extra water barrier. Once complete, the treated areas were cleanly plastered and left in alignment with the existing walls. The place was left clean and tidy, just like it was before he arrived. Dan was professional and courteous at all times and I would most definitely recommend him for your job.

From his initial assessment of the problem it became apparent that Dan is an expert in his field. We had damp mould and dry rot under the floorboards in part of our Dining Room caused in part by faulty cavity wall foam insulation allowing damp to breach the outer and inner cavity along with blocked airbricks so compromised ventilation.
Dan explained in laymans terms the procedures which needed to be performed and the timescale to achieve the desired result. His work was to a very high standard and we feel secure that all the correct actions have been performed. He works hard and achieves a lot in

Dan was very polite, knowledgeable and honest about the work required. His team were always punctual and worked very hard to sort out wet rot, dry rot and damp in a church basement. They respected our request to work around church services and a funeral and left the place clean and tidy. Nothing was too much trouble and they were easy to work with. The standard of work done was very high and they are an excellent company in all respects. We would certainly use them again and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.

Damp proofing a dining room in a Grade II listed house. Very competitive quote and Dan knows the rules and regulations concerning listed buildings. The whole job was explained clearly, Dan's knowledge and workmanship is first class. He cleaned and tidied up after each day even cleaning and polishing the wooden floor once the work was complete. We are very pleased with the finished job and will certainly use Quay Point Plastering again. Many thanks Dan.
