At FirstLight Landscaping Ltd we specialise in Garden Design & Build projects. This means that we can design your dream garden and carry out all the construction for the finished project. To focus on providing a complete service for our clients, we only provide quotations for projects that have a professional design and specification produced.
You may think a garden design may only be necessary for large estates but having a garden design produced for your garden project will make your life so much easier. A garden design can help transform your garden into a unique space with bespoke features that will keep their beauty for years to come.
As well as hard landscaping design, we also offer a Planting Design Service. We work alongside professional planting designers to provide you a full planting plan, to make your garden live! We think it is very important, once the initial construction of your garden is completed, to have the right plants for your garden.
Natural stone is a timeless product that is perfect for creating a beautiful garden space. Sandstone, Limestone, Slate and Granite can all be used as paving. The variation and veins of colour that naturally occur in the stone are what make natural stone so striking as a patio choice. Having dealt with unreliable tradesmen, it’s been a real pleasure to work with such a professional, reliable team. Firstlight worked on our gardens for over 2 months and I can honestly say they were the best team - hardworking and have enormous pride in their work. The whole team are really easy to communicate with. I am so impressed with the finished garden results. I would definitely recommend them. This is the second time I have used FirstLight. They did the front garden at my last house so were a natural choice when I moved. They turned what was a boring wall to wall grass back garden into a space that is a joy too be in.
From the initial visit to the completion they were professional, polite and delivered the highest quality of workmanship.
Thanks to the whole team and an especial thanks to Ollie and Tony who worked like trogans doing the heavy work right in the middle of the recent heatwave. If sweat could be bottled and sold they would be millionairs.

Neal, the head of design arranged a series of meetings where we discussed what we wanted from our garden and it was quite easy because there was already a design in their portfolio that we already really liked. Our garden wasn’t the same size so we might not have be able to fit everything in and we also had other ideas too. Neal paid thorough attention to our likes and dislikes when it came to garden design, and then over the course of several weeks presented us with 3 spectacular designs which incorporated everything we wanted. Neal used his distinct design skills to make best use of every inch

Very professional and friendly team. We are extremely pleased with the end result. Neal gave us confidence from the beginning. When he visited to give us the quote it was clear that he knew what he was talking about. We were told all the pros and cons of the job and how it would be completed with the least disruption to our neighbours. The work was done to a very high standard with attention to detail and the lads worked very hard. We would definitely recommend them. Before and after.
