Services
Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists specialises in creating beautiful stained glass windows, panels and doors. We are a family business based in Dorset with over 25 years' experience creating hundreds of stained glass windows, from small family homes to large developments, historic and listed buildings, churches including stained glass restoration and stained glass repair.
Broken stained glass windows can ruin the panel's entire visual aesthetics and illusion. Whether glass has been shattered or the lead structure has buckled and broken away from the wall, Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists are able to repair stained glass windows. Small breaks can be fixed in situ sometimes using a special method of glueing the original glass that leaves little trace of the original break.
As a family-run business with over 25 years' experience, stained glass specialist Steve Sheriff is one of the leading stained glass door companies in the UK. Whether you require Victorian stained glass doors, inspiration for stained glass door patterns or stained glass for a front door window, Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists offers a wide range of stained glass door panels to suit any property.
We have a passion for preserving original glasswork with our stained glass window restoration in stained glass windows, panels and doors. Whether your stained glass windows are in a Grade 1 or 2 listed, or an unlisted building our stained glass specialists can restore them to their former glory. Over time, stained glass windows may lose quality of colour and appearance as a result of weathering or decay and dirt.
Sherriff Stained Glass Specialists have over 25 years' experience manufacturing leaded windows, otherwise known as leaded glass or leaded lights. During this time, we mastered the traditional techniques used to make high-quality and long lasting leaded windows, and use traditional materials to recreate a truly authentic window suitable for any home or building, new or old with a life of in excess of 100 years.

The sheriff's team expertly restored the 1920s glass windows in our hallway, incorporating secondary glazing, and the results are stunning! Initially contemplating replacing them with modern windows/doors, we're immensely relieved we didn't. The entire team conducted themselves with professionalism, politeness, and charm—highly recommended without reservation.

For more than two years I had been searching for a company that would do in situ repairs to the stain glass in my front door. Many were initially interested but did not follow through.Earlier this year I saw Sherriff's van in Kingston and photographed their contact details. I sent them pictures of the panels that needed repair and they promptly provided me with an estimate. I accepted the estimate and a few weeks later Nathan and Steve arrived and did a first class job on the door. One panel they advised that the repair would be better effected on a bench rather than in situ as there were 3 broken pieces that needed replacing in close proximity to each other. They took the panel out and filled the gap with temporary glazing. A week later they returned and re-fitted the panel and also replaced another small cracked pane in a colour that originally they did not have with them. The whole job was completed with no fuss or mess and I am very satisfied with the result. I would have no hesitation with recommending them.
