Proudly located within Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter, PCPT Architects is one of the West Midlands' leading architectural practices and has gained extensive plaudits for its work in a range of sectors including conservation, commercial, housing & residential and masterplanning. Founded in 1959, PCPT prides itself on a long-standing dedication to local projects and empowerment for communities to feel they have helped create their own place.
Services
Founded in 1959, few design businesses go to a second generation let alone a third, but for PCPT each decade has seen continuing success and awards. Our design process treats each project individually, understanding that every context has its own set of issues and outcomes. We believe that architecture is as much about people as places.
Our experience in commercial property and retail space extends from the largest footprint in central Birmingham (the Royal Mail Depot in Newtown) to modern infill in historic areas and carving out good space from within heritage buildings such as the Emma Bridgewater Pottery in Stoke-on-Trent. PCPT have been involved in Townscape Heritage schemes across the West Midlands - Walsall, Coventry, Willenhall, Stoke, Dudley and Birmingham.
Sad to say that last week John Phillips, the founding partner of PCPT, passed away at the age of 87. We are delighted to announce the formation of a strategic partnership between PCPT Architects and Purcell. This new chapter will see the two practices collaborating to deliver exceptional architecture, masterplanning and heritage consultancy services across the Midlands and beyond.
