Simon Criddle has been designing and handcrafting truly bespoke kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and furniture, nationwide and locally, for over 20 years. Introduced to the trade by his father, Simon is not only a talented joiner, but also a gifted designer who employs skilled craftsmen within our workshop in the historic town of Colchester, Essex.

This beautiful space involved a complete refurbishment, all completed by our in-house team of professionals. The open bookcase gave the client access to much-loved cookery books, with a double larder to hide away and store all the ingredients. We repositioned radiators and utility pipes and laid natural stone flooring.
Our New Hampshire range of furniture is based on the classically styled kitchens within the grand houses of the US. This style of kitchen perfectly suits this spacious Edwardian town house. To create a large flowing kitchen/diner by carrying out extensive renovation works forming one area from three separate rooms, in such a way as to retain the character of the property.
The whole layout and arrangement of this kitchen space was redesigned making maximum use of the existing double sash windows and garden aspect, creating an airy and light ambiance. Despite being a relatively small space, Simon's design know-how allowed this client to pack in many space-saving features and large appliances whilst maintaining an inviting and uncluttered space.

Our kitchen was fitted 5 years ago, and even today Simon’s provides great aftercare, and the kitchen looks good as new! Simon set himself apart anyone else we had in by coming up with a brilliant design which completely rethought the room and 5 years on is the perfect use of the space. The craftsmanship is fantastic, it was painted by hand in situ brilliantly and it stands out as our favourite thing in our home. Could not recommend them more!

So very pleased with our beautiful Kitchen from SIMON’S. From start to finish was very professional and listened to exactly what we had in mind. Our favourite and best thing is definitely the Quooker tap. I had dismissed having one before but so pleased Simon recommend it.
Loving the handleless finish on all the cupboards and drawers. They feel so solidly made and they all glide perfectly.
All in all a fantastic company to deal with and trust in your home.

From our tentative ideas to the end product of our beautiful finished kitchen, Simon and his team were wonderful. The photo mock-ups were brilliant as we could see how our dreams could become reality which, thanks to Simon, they did! It is always a huge decision choosing a new kitchen. What Simons kitchens deliver are the highest quality of bespoke hand made cabinet crafting backed up by best materials, design and finishing quality. SImon gave us pre build photo representations of what the finished product would look like and looking back at those, they really are close.
SImons worked with us to bring the most out of our final design and all the planning effort paid off and they delivered us a dream kitchen.

After extensive renovation of our house in 2015, Simon and his team fitted our bespoke kitchen. We were extremely pleased with the finished result, high quality, timeless design, practical layout... after 3 years everything is still perfectly aligned and functioning as new. His whole team were professional, polite and really nice. The hand painted finish is exceptional, not a single smudge or speckle on another surface. Highly recommended!
