Zinc has now been produced using small amounts of copper and titanium, which has vastly improved the weathering capabilities of the product.
Zinc has, when laid correctly a lifespan of 60-80 years. I have been roofing for 38 years and in my opinion fibre glass (GRP) is the best of the cheaper flat roofing systems. A GRP roof is immensely strong and durable, , this is the 21st century breakthrough in roofing technology.
