The Drawing Office
At The Drawing Office we offer a straightforward approach to building design, applying for planning permission and Building Regulations approval for your building project. Typically our projects are domestic planning applications but more recently we have been getting involved in some exciting commercial projects locally.

Most of our clients have a good idea of what they want but just need that expertise to help them through processes to realise their vision. The Drawing Office started life in the summer of 2007 with our first project - a small rear single storey extension in Exeter. Since then we have worked on hundreds of projects including loft conversions, new build houses and listed buildings as well as commercial industrial buildings.

Typically our projects range from 25K to 250K. We love our clients to get involved in the design process; it is after all your project so it has to work for you. We listen to what you want and apply our skill and knowledge to make sure we meet your requirements and expectations but at the same time we look for alternatives to enhance the design so we can be sure we have looked at a number of design options if the budget allows.
Services
Featured is a snapshot of our work from small scale refurbishment to new build and complex Listed Building projects. Our client, a well-known charity required a new office and volunteer accommodation due to the existing office being unfit for purpose and the volunteer accommodation being off site. A new modern office with volunteer accommodation on site was essential for the ongoing management of the site.
We have simplified and condensed our design approach, which we have found to help clients easily understand the processes involved. This initial stage is a good chance for you to outline your ideas, budget and timescales. During this initial meeting we can look at any technical, design, conservation or planning issues that could affect the project.
A. The cost of drawings will depend on the complexity of the proposed works and the type of application which is being submitted. We provide you with a no obligation fixed fee proposal at the start of the process so you know how much to budget for.
