Services
NVDC is an architectural design and build practice based in Glasgow, Scotland. The practice evolved from NV Properties, our design-led, property development company, which was established in 1997. Chartered architect Farahbod Nakhaei and business partner Homan Varghaei are the driving force behind the company who maintain a focus on delivering the best architectural solutions and striking contemporary spaces.
NVDC's second residential project for our client AYA Developments; involved the extensive remodelling and extension of a traditional interwar two-bedroom bungalow in Giffnock, Glasgow. The client's brief was to create a light-filled and modern four-bedroom home suited to current lifestyle needs and aspirations.
NVDC achieved Building Warrant approval and worked up a full set of construction drawings, ensuring compliance with Energy use guidelines despite the large amounts of Glass. We managed the project on-site, making sure every last detail was to the Client's satisfaction, and we stuck to the agreed budget.
Our client required additional living space and wished to rationalise the layout of the ground floorplan. NVDC proposed a contemporary flat roof porch and rear extension to gain extra space and help to make the house more energy efficient. Our design includes the creation of a fluid open plan family living and kitchen area as well an additional downstairs WC and a utility room.
