Lyn Knight is the Managing Director of Abbey Appliances and started the business in 1995 (then called John's Spares and Service Centre). She has over 30 years experience in the white goods industry, having started as a service administrator for an appliance sales and repair company in 1985. From there, she learned all about the trade including how to repair appliances and install them.
When she decided to open her own business she quickly developed her sales skills and has always been popular with her loyal customers and colleagues. Andrew is a full qualified electrician who leads the electrical/engineer team at Abbey Appliances. He is registered to complete electrical inspections and testing as well as being a third party inspector.
As a service engineer he has been trained by Miele, Bosch and Hotpoint and has over 30 years experience in the industry. Wendy Jordan joined the team in 2004 and handles sales and diary management directly from the Abbey Appliances shop. An integral part of the team, she has much experience in retail and this is demonstrated in her excellent rapport with customers.

We offer workshop repairs for smaller appliances such as vacuum cleaners and microwaves as well as being able to arrange visits to your home to repair larger items like washing machines and dishwashers. The team has much experience in the white goods industry and are fully equipped to handle all types of appliance faults.

What a wonderful service.
Paul was excellent when today he was fitting a new electric hob. As he was removing our fitted gas oven he found the rubber gas pipe was already split and as a result moving the oven made it more noticeable. He immediately took my elderly father outside to safety and called the Fire service and the gas company. Thankfully everything was dealt with swiftly and professionally by Paul.Who then organised a plumber to fit a new pipe.
What service!!!!!
I learnt that gas rubber pipes need to be replaced every 5 years!!! A date that's going into my diary.

Just thought I’d put a comment on here to say a big thank you to abbey appliances for their help with getting a new cooker to an elderly lady, who’s a friend of mine. Managed to get her a slot in before delivery date so she could get herself some hot meals. Thanks abbey appliances. For your kindness & good service..

Very good service from both the lady on the phone dealing with my enquiry, and from Anthony and Paul who had to come out twice to try and connect the new washing machine. (The first time the hot inlet valve was seized on - sorted out by a plumber). Everyone very cheerful, efficient and accommodating. Thoroughly recommend.
