The company can trace its roots back to the early 1800's when it was a traditional slating and plastering firm based and working in the county town of Forfar. The family firm continued in this vein through the generations until 2019 when the company was sold in a management buy-out to Ian Shepherd and Paul Harding who are Joint Managing Directors.
Ian and Paul have worked at the company for many years accumulating 35 years between them and ensuring continuity for the company. The company continues to be chaired by Stuart Taylor FRICS. By the early 1990's the firm had transformed into a general main contracting company similar in form to the structure we see today.
The company operates out of an extensive office and warehousing complex in Forfar. Contained within the complex is our in-house joinery workshop which manufactures solely for the company thereby avoiding long lead in times. The capability ranges from doors to timber kit production. Andrew Shepherd Construction is the contracting arm of Andrew Shepherd (Holdings) Ltd.
