Ian Walsh, Managing Director, established Walsh Electrical Contractors Ltd in 1984 and became incorporated in 1990. The company has enjoyed planned organic growth over the past 35 years, gaining an outstanding reputation across the industry.
Walsh IBS offers its clients a fully integrated service with all the benefits of a seamless packaged solution built around our core expertise as electrical and mechanical engineers, operating nationally. Our major works department specialises in projects from 250,000 to 5 million plus. We have just completed a 3.5 million BIM Project in North Wales and a 3.2 million five-floor refurbishment project in Manchester.
Walsh has always invested in its future by employing apprentices on an annual basis. Walsh not only looks to school leavers for those wishing to become engineers, but also offers training contracts to newly-retired members of the armed forces, manual labourers already working and former offenders. Additionally, Walsh encourages all existing staff to expand their skills and training by combining it with their day-to-day employment.
The health and safety of our employees, the public and our fellow contractors through the execution of our duties under the CDM Regulations 2015 is our top priority. Walsh was established over 36 years ago. Since then, we've become increasingly aware that our local communities have an enormous influence on the lives of individuals. Walsh is based in Nelson, in East Lancashire and recognises the importance of employing local people and using local suppliers, goods and services.
